Workshop:
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) 101

Participants will receive an IEP 101 training with a focus on types of disabilities and how to implement accommodations and modifications for each type of disability in the classroom so that all students are successful. strategies that can be implemented in the classroom so all students are successful. Learning styles typical to specific disabilities will be addressed such as autism, attention deficit disorder and specific learning disability. Paraeducators will come away with a toolbox of strategies effective in any classroom.

Workshop:
Behavior Support in Class

Participants will learn multiple strategies for positive behavior support in class and in small group settings including creating a supportive classroom community, power of praise, setting limits, implementing positive behavior charts and building relationships with students. Paraeducators will be introduced to effective methods of identifying antecedents and assess function of behavior. Some of the topics that will be covered include:
